We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our Austral Bricks team in Golden Grove, South Australia. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your main responsibility will be to support the ongoing success of an advanced manufacturing operation through quality control and improvement.**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- **Prioritise safety**: Promote and model safe work practices in the factory.

**Ensure quality compliance**: Conduct regular quality evaluations of clay, slurry, and finished products and communicate results.

**Maintain product specifications**: Keep product and slurry specification sheets up-to-date.

**Collaborate with production teams**: Identify root-causes and solutions to quality issues within a complex manufacturing process.

**Maintain process control**: Regularly audit factory operators and activities to ensure high process control standards.

**Foster engagement**: Engage supervisors and operators in quality control and improvement processes.

**Maintain equipment**: Ensure factory operators' equipment for QC checks is well-maintained.

**Drive process improvement**: Develop and implement new methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of quality control and process improvement activities.**Success Requirements**
- Degree in Process Engineering/Ceramic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Quality Controller role.
- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes and product testing.
- Proven experience implementing improvements to processes, systems and/or environments.
- Strong time management, administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
