- Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our established and dedicated team.
- Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. Glencore employs over 145,000 people operates around 150 operating mining and processing sites, oil production assets and agricultural facilities in over 35 countries.
- **The Role**
This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who is responsible for managing and directing the activities of a refinery mechanical maintenance team to achieve the maximum plant availability, plant efficiency and equipment utilisation within budget parameters.
- You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring site safety protocols and standards are applied across all work undertaken
- Supervising of mechanical fitters working within the area of responsibility and allocating day-to-day work priorities
- Developing and fostering ongoing working relationships with counterparts from other departments to ensure the prioritisation of maintenance activities are balanced across site
- Ensuring all maintenance targets are achieved and the plant is maintained in a safe condition
- Identify competence requirements for work tasks
- Assessing training requirements of team members
- Measuring team performance
- Providing input for area of responsibility, during preparation of annual departmental budget
- Providing direct supervision of sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility

**About You**
This role would suit a person who possesses both technical competence and strong people management skills to be an effective leader in a customer focused environment.
- You will have:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or trade qualification in any other mechanical trade coupled with fixed plant mechanical maintenance experience
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in the mechanical field
- Proven ability to be objective and fair when managing people
- Able to develop, communicate and adhere to implementation and execution schedules
- Past experience in managing costs and budgeting
- A high-level of understanding all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in Western Australia.
