**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
- Full Time Ongoing
- Band 8 - $119,943 + 11.5% super

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a progressive and dynamic Governance Team and to play a key role in the delivery of Council's Good Governance Framework and governance service?
Reporting to the Manager Governance & Integrity, this position will ensure that effective and efficient governance requirements are provided to the organisation while complying with the legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Contribute to a contemporary corporate governance environment throughout the organisation by developing and supporting robust governance processes to inform decision making and the achievement of Council objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff to ensure statutory obligations are undertaken in accordance with the Local Government Act 2020 and any other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Coordinate organisational and legislative performance reporting requirements for the quarterly organisational Performance Report to Council and for Annual Plan/Budget, Departmental Business Plans and Annual Report respectively.
- Coordinate the development of the Council Plan, Annual Plan and Departmental Business Plans
- Coordinate the running of Council meetings and briefing sessions, production of documentation and distribution of agenda and minutes.
**ABOUT YOU**:
To be successful for this fixed term temporary role, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in developing and leading organisational service planning and reporting
- Experience of governance within a Council or highly regulated environment
- Proven leadership skills and experience
- Proven ability to build rapport and strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience and understanding of Corporate Frameworks and Reporting
- Strong continual improvement and business solution focus
