**The Opportunity**:
Veolia ANZ is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our team based in Brisbane. As the Environmental Advisor you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of business objectives and environmental management goals. You will work as an active member to provide environmental knowledge, support and solutions to the Veolia team. This includes recommending preventative actions that ensure compliance with environmental obligations to drive best practice environmental outcomes and consistency across all operational sites.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- Ensure site management knowledge of legislative requirements and responsibilities is well understood;
- Conduct environmental compliance audits to monitor the compliance of operations, in accordance with internal and external requirements and respond to issues;
- Coordinate ongoing environmental monitoring (collection, analysis and reporting) in accordance with relevant guidelines;
- Identification, investigation and mitigation of environmental aspects across operational sites;
- Attendance at regulatory site inspections/audits including reporting to management and follow up communication with the regulator as required;
- Oversee, develop and review site environmental management plans and risk registers to ensure environmental compliance; and
- Prepare and submit reports and correspondence required by local, state and federal agencies to meet legislative requirements.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Degree qualification in Environment, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or equivalent;
- Experience in environmental compliance and l monitoring;
- Initiative to work unsupervised while maintaining reporting requirements and deadlines;
- Knowledge of environmental management systems and environmental legislation; and
- Strong communication skills; written, verbal and receptive.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
