Solidworks Drafter/designer

**Key Responsibilities**:
This multifaceted role primarily involves 3D drafting using Solidworks, followed by contributing to the design of new machinery, and occasionally assisting our maintenance team in the servicing of our equipment.

Key responsibilities ordered by importance:
**3D Solidworks Drafting**: Leverage your SolidWorks skills to transpose real-life machines and conceptual drawings into 3D models (and occasionally AutoCAD). Applicants should have at least 6 months of experience with SolidWorks and be familiar with its best practices. Your ability to accurately represent machinery and layouts in 3D will be essential to our design and production processes. Basic understanding of SolidWork's "Motion Study" is desirable but not required.

**Design of New Machines & Components**:Work closely with our engineering team to design innovative and reliable equipment that solve our customers' needs. You will transform sketches and ideas into 3D design in SolidWorks to develop innovative Helix products. An understanding and strong interest in mechanical principles, design best practices, user experience, repairability, and reliability are greatly valued - we will teach you the rest.

**Service Technician**:From time to time, you will assist our team in servicing the equipment Helix has supplied such as: diagnosing issues, repairing, and installation at customer sites. Some fundamental understanding of mechanical and electrical principles are beneficial (such as motor/inverters, pneumatic cylinders, sensors). Any experience in servicing and repair will be greatly valued. The more experience you have in this area the better, but above all, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn in this area - we will teach you the rest.

**Other desirable skills (not mandatory)**
- PLC programming
- Image or video processing (e.g. photoshop/lightroom)
- Familiarity with website content management

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
