The Department of Planning and Environment is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer Business Systems Tools & Information to join our Biodiversity & Conservation Division within the Environment & Heritage Group in a full-time capacity for a fixed term until 30 June 2024.

**About You**

The Project Officer Business Systems Tools & Information will provide specialist data and business intelligence analysis that supports conservation program objectives and outcomes for the Compliance and Licensing branch through the development of effective business reporting and data solutions.

develop and support the implementation of business-critical projects, including scoping, requirement definition, user testing and operational support.

This role will coordinate the delivery of systems and information solutions to enhance support priorities. You will provide technical advice on business systems and collaborate with business units to analyse problems and identify solutions. This role also involves liaising with the Digital Information Office, as well as external service providers, to support implementation projects.

**Key Challenges**
- Develop and maintain business intelligence reporting solutions to enhance and support Compliance and Licencing branch priorities.
- Provide technical expertise in the development and use of business intelligence reports to support priority projects
- Collaborate and engage with the Compliance and Licensing branch business units to analyse business problems and identify potential Operating in a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed team, whilst playing a key role in the coordinated delivery of high-quality projects.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining Business Intelligence reports and semantic data models across a broad spectrum of data sources including Salesforce and Microsoft SQL databases.
- Demonstrated experience in using Power BI Platform to disseminate reporting products to business users
- IT project management experience, including facilitation of user engagement, preparation of user requirements, review of technical options, implementation of agreed solutions and provision of technical and user documents.
