**Highlighting the importance of this role**

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Toowoomba Aged Care Service on a Full-time basis.

As the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising a maintenance team and providing preventative and corrective maintenance duties across our service.

In this role you will:

- Provide guidance, training and supervision to all Maintenance Officers, Maintenance Workers and Volunteers;
- Regularly undertake maintenance work utilising trade skills and qualifications, undertake general maintenance work including, but not limited to, repairs, installation, cleaning etc;
- Undertake grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, fertilising, pruning, garden refuse removal, and pet care (where applicable);
- Undertake maintenance work in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule;
- Perform orderly duties, as required.

**What you can bring to the team**

You are a self-starting and driven individual who loves working collaboratively as part of a team, however, you are also capable of working on your own. With your highly developed customer focus and excellent service skills you resolve gardening and maintenance issues as they arise. You have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. Always ready to provide support, you have a welcoming, caring and compassionate nature.

To be suited to this position ideally you will have:

- Relevant trade qualifications i.e. carpentry, plumbing, electrical etc;
- Demonstrated experience in the gardener/handyman/maintenance role;
- Demonstrated team leadership experience;
- Previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living or community services environment is highly regarded but not essential;
- Applied knowledge of Workplace Health & safety requirements, or ability to acquire same within one month of employment;
- A current driver's licence;
- National Police Check or the ability to acquire.
