**Carnival Australia is excited to announce**: We are hiring a Safety Asset Manager to join our Maritime Team. This full-time permanent position will be based in the Chatswood district of Sydney and report directly to the Director Technical Assets. This role will be supporting both P&O Australia and Carnival Cruise Lines brands in Australia where you'll be tasked with a multifaceted responsibility encompassing the meticulous management of Life-Saving Appliances (LSA) and firefighting equipment aboard CAU Vessels. This includes not only overseeing routine maintenance but also coordinating any necessary projects related to these critical safety components.
Your duties extend beyond mere upkeep; you'll be instrumental in ensuring the reliability of this equipment, constantly vigilant for signs of obsolescence or non-compliance with regulations. Moreover, your role involves a comprehensive assessment of the performance functionality of the ship systems, with an aim to optimize operational efficiency and safety standards. This position demands a blend of proactive maintenance management, regulatory compliance oversight, and swift crisis response capability, all aimed at upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence aboard CAU Vessels.

**Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Assist the Director, Tech Asset & Energy & Decarb implementation in establishing and maintaining inventory configurations of installed equipment on each CAU fleet ship.
- Support the Director in conducting onboard inspections and services for dedicated systems.
- Ensure follow-up actions are taken after inspections and services on dedicated systems.
- Assist in Criticality Analysis of Equipment, prioritizing and categorising equipment with the highest criticality and impact on operations.
- Identify cost-effective means to maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment, optimizing the use of ship's crew, Riding Teams, and Contractors.
- Gather input and feedback from Team Members to develop and maintain a detailed project schedule.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to organize essential components for initiating, developing, executing, and completing major projects.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines by tracking project changes and their effects on the schedule and completion date.
- Issue Technical Specifications for equipment on CAU ships, verifying plan updates and revising as needed, gaining approvals from Class/Flag/PSC and other recognized authorities.
- Collaborate with Technical Superintendent and other asset managers if necessary for daily operations and resolving conflicts.
- Assist and participate in upcoming dry docks for enforced and implemented projects aboard CAU ships.
