Sydney, Australia Stockland Full time

**9-month contract in an ASX listed business**:

- **Opportunity to mentor team members as they build their employee relations experience**

A great opportunity to shape culture and capability at Stockland, with a predominant focus on achieving effective resolutions to employee relations issues and team mentoring.

In People & Culture, we know that employee relations issues often require us to operate ‘in the grey.’ We’re looking for a HR professional with a strong background in employee relations who will coach and advise stakeholders to resolve such matters in a way which balances our legal obligations with our CARE values and a sense of commerciality. Who will continually seek to reach the best resolution for the employee, the team and for Stockland.

**About the role**

The three main components of the role are:
1. Case management
- Coach and advise managers and employees to successfully navigate performance, grievance, and disciplinary matters.

2. Mentoring
- A key output of this role will be to develop its successor.
- Coach and mentor more junior team members to build their capability and experience in employee relations, with the ultimate goal of developing their readiness to progress into a People Services Consultant role.

3. Projects
- Support the Senior People Services Manager, and other key stakeholders, to operationalise workplace reforms; translating Stockland’s response to legislative changes into actionable plans for the People Services team.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, your experience is likely to include:

- Successful track record in a HR generalist or ER role. Most likely supported by a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant ER legislation.
- Proven results in coaching and advising people managers and employees through performance, grievance, and disciplinary processes.
- The ability to ask critical questions which help you get to the ‘root cause’ of an issue.
- Ability to influence and build collaborative relations with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Time management and prioritisation skills which enable you to productively manage a case load alongside project work.
- An intrinsic motivation to mentor and support team members with their learning and development.
- Proficient in MS Office and the use of HR/business systems.

**The Stockland Proposition**

At Stockland we are a community delivering outcomes that benefit the community at large. We work collaboratively and inclusively, building strong working relationships. Our portfolio is diverse and so are the opportunities for professional and career development. We are committed to providing our people with broad experiences to build a successful career.

We recognise the importance of flexibility and work life-quality and over 80% of our employees have informal or formal flexible work arrangements. Additionally, Stockland has a strong commitment to achieving the best outcomes through an inclusive and collaborative culture. Our customers come from diverse backgrounds and we want our teams to reflect this.

We offer competitive remuneration and benefits. Benefits include free to access or subsidised lifestyle, health, well-being and financial services products.
