**About the Role**

**This is an ongoing STS role**

Reporting to the Executive Director of Metro Train, the Associate Director for Train Franchise Rolling Stock Interface and Compliance is responsible for leading a team to manage all and commercial strategies within the rolling stock module of the Metropolitan Train Franchise and the HCMT Public Private Partnership Agreement (PPP). This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring that all obligations related to these agreements are met and aligns with the standards of the Department of Transport and Planning.

As a pivotal role in overseeing complex commercial arrangements, this position involves close collaboration with the Rolling Stock Development Division (RSD), Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), and Evolution Rail (EV) to facilitate the successful deployment and operation of HCMT rolling stock and associated infrastructure on the metropolitan rail network. The Associate Director will work to maximise passenger service delivery and value for money while ensuring the seamless management of the rolling stock assets.

**Qualifications and role specific requirements**
- Tertiary degree in engineering, business, commerce or law
- Significant understanding of commercial, financial, policy, and related issues associated with major contracts
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) (Desirable)
- Commercial experience in major projects/programs
- A developed understanding of railway operations
