**The Opportunity**:
An opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead teams within the Payroll Services Section undertaking the administration and management of pay and entitlements while initiating and managing payroll BAU projects such as Christmas pays, Departmental Salary Increases and Scheduled allowance payments.

**The Role**:
As the Payroll Manager, you will play an integral role in the management of activities including managing performance, coordinating and/or delivering staff training and assisting in career development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Handle escalations and prepare complex correspondence and provide accurate and timely advice to clients
- Manage recruitment & staffing activities within the Payroll Services Section
- Manage the development of appropriate business processes & process improvements
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Draft and coordinate high quality written materials including briefs, fact sheets, guidelines, user guides, web material, presentations and procedural documents
- Manage stakeholder engagement with business areas that have a direct impact on the payroll services section specifically the Aurion System team, Workplace Relations, Treasury, Accounts Receivable and People Support teams
- Contribute to and participate in Branch and team initiatives and programs

**The Ideal Person**:
As an experienced Payroll Manager, you will have an excellent attitude with strong attention to detail and clear and concise communication skills.

You will be confident and able to identify process improvements and streamline where possible. You will be a go-getter, with a positive and approachable manner to face challenges that may lie ahead.

You will also have demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting legislation such as Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

A high degree of professionalism and discretion is required due to the confidential information you will be accessing.

**Salary / Rate**:

- $70/hr - $85/hr + Super
- 6 - 12 month contract
