This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to be involved in career defining planning projects.
**Your new role**
The Town Planner will be responsible for providing professional planning advice and services to the ACT/NSW business. The Town Planner will ensure that planning proposals and projects are consistent with statutory requirements, government policies, and community expectations.
- Provide professional planning advice and services to the company, including site analysis, feasibility studies, and project assessments
- Liaise with government bodies, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure that the development proposals are aligned with local and regional plans and policies
- Prepare and present planning reports and recommendations to management and stakeholders, and attend meetings and public hearings as required.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of development proposals on the local community, and recommend mitigation measures as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the development team, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure that planning considerations are integrated into project design and implementation.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in planning laws and regulations, and contribute to the development of planning policies and guidelines for the company.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this position, you will be highly motivated individual with a strong technical Town Planning background and solid understanding of ACT and NSW planning legislation.
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline
- Strong skills in master planning and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated understanding of ACT & NSW planning policies and legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex planning documents and assess development proposals against policy and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
