**About the Role**:
We're currently looking for an enthusiastic **Operations Librarian** to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our library runs smoothly and efficiently. As the Operations Librarian, you'll collaborate closely with the Library Branch and Operations Team Leader to coordinate operations across all service points, guaranteeing seamless customer experiences.
In this role, you will oversee front-line staff to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service, manage customer-related activities, and lead our shelving team to maintain our collection effectively. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in recruiting, on boarding, and training new shelving staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
- **What you will bring to the role**:
- Tertiary qualification in appropriate discipline and previous experience in library service operations and people management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
- Ability to manage time, plan, and organise own work effectively, while also adeptly navigating challenging situations to deliver optimal outcomes.
- Ability to display empathy and understanding with all sections of the community, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and people with disabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills (written and verbal) with high level literacy, numeracy and technology skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks and efficiently manage high volume interactions.
