Owning the development and execution of sales & marketing activation/shopper marketing plans including promotions, store concept, retail display, visual merchandising and field communications across retail and trade decorative paint markets and other DuluxGroup SBU’s as required. You will leverage your knowledge of shopper journeys and retailer requirements to make insight led recommendations that ultimately ensure consumers have an amazing experience with our brands.
Leading a team of shopper and customer marketing and training experts, you will use your strong collaboration and leadership skills to engage with a broad set of stakeholders across brand, insights, category, sales and store operations to ensure that the strategic intent of each project is built from insights and executed in a meaningful, engaging and timely manner. You will have a significant impact across some of Australia’s most iconic paint retailers, including Bunnings, Mitre 10, Inspirations, Dulux Trade Centres and more.
With tremendous breadth and depth, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive positive change in how we educate, merchandise, engage and support our retail shoppers and team members to enable more people to take on a paint projects, with one of our leading paint brands.
**Responsibilities (max 5 dot points)**
- Activation of key strategic projects in-store - Own the activation of sales and marketing plans including promotions, store design, retail displays and visual merchandising across retail and trade decorative paint markets
- Lead the strategic planning cycle - Demonstrate leadership in managing the critical sales and marketing planning cycle, collaborating with others to achieve innovative solutions and a robust program of activity that positions the business to achieve set financial objectives
- Financial management - Effectively manage significant budget to maximise impact, ensuring spend initiatives are aligned to activation, sales and marketing plans
- Team leadership - lead, inspire and develop a team of high performing customer marketing professionals to ensure high quality standards are maintained and key objectives are met
**Skills & Experience**
- Degree qualified in Marketing, Commerce, Communications or related field
- Proven track record of working in activation/shopper marketing with demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and as well as Agency and Customer relationships for at least 6+ years, preferably in the Hardware industry or other FMCG organisations.
- Research and insights experience, shopper experience preferred
- Shopper strategy development & execution
- Budget management
- Shopper display & design and exhibition stand design & build experience, using a variety of touch points to activate DIY and Trade consumers (shoppers) is critical
- Knowledge of latest trends in digital and physical activation technologies for the retail environment, including point-of-sale, colour displays, product merchandising, proximity devices and communicating to shoppers via their mobile devices
- Proven ability to deal with all levels of the retail store management, retailer head office teams and internal stakeholders at various levels
