The role
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive e-learning modules, simulations, and competency assessments that integrate instructional design, adult learning principles, and human-centered design. The position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to create high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective learning resources that enhance student engagement. It also involves consulting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and guidelines while evaluating feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The role supports the integrity and governance of learning content through systematic review, development, and change control processes.
Working with the State Health Information Management (HIM) and Clinical Coding teams, this position creates user-centric learning interfaces and ensures assessments are secure, access-controlled, and optimized for automated marking where applicable. It involves developing new knowledge assets and improving existing course content to align with operational needs, strategic priorities, and the State HIM and Clinical Coding Education Plan. Additionally, the role provides ad hoc graphic design support for digital marketing and ensures adherence to service quality standards, health and safety policies, and regulatory compliance to deliver impactful and user-friendly learning solutions.
The successful person
To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record of creating high-quality, engaging, and adaptive learning materials tailored to the needs of diverse groups. Strong technical expertise in eLearning authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline/Rise360, is essential, along with the ability to design, develop, test, and refine eLearning resources effectively.
