**In this role, you'll**:
Be joining our Customer Journey Planning division on a fixed term basis, initially until 30 June 2025 but with potential to extend. We are looking for 3 Alternate Transport Planners to join us and manage the planning and implementation of alternative transport arrangements for major possessions and closedowns programmed for the network working closely with rail operators and commuters.

**The main Responsibilities for this role include**:
Gather and analyse information on passenger movements, road systems and train operations to develop alternative transport plans to meet passenger needs and to provide cost efficient alternative services.
Liaise with Government departments and other entities to gather information, obtain relevant exemptions and permits and negotiate timing of works (such as roadwork’s) that may impact alternative transport arrangements.

**About you**

You have proven experience in a transport planning role, with strong modelling and evaluation capability.
You have strong organisational and operational planning skills including the ability to work to tight deadlines and competing priorities.
You will use your expert knowledge and understanding of multi-modal transport planning processes to analyse, plan and manage complex alternative transport/special events projects.
Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across other groups.
