Financial Counsellor

With the recent release of the Rental Stress Support package funding, Anglicare Victoria are excited to be able to expand the provision of our Financial Counselling services statewide, providing professional financial counselling services to support Victorians experiencing rental stress.
- Supportive team environment - working alongside other financial counsellors based across the state
- Full time position available
- Based in Gippsland or South East suburbs, or ability to travel to work site in Gippsland/South East suburbs
This role will predominantly focus on intake, supporting clients at the front end of service delivery. There may be some capacity to provide some financial counselling casework within the role.

**To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need**:
- Qualification in Diploma of Community Services - Financial Counselling (or actively studying)
- an understanding of the impact of environmental factors affecting financial independence on individuals, families and communities. Experience in working with clients who have experienced family violence would be highly desirable.
- well-developed verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- the ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- demonstrated resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
