School Hockey Umpiring

Melbourne Sports Institute is seeking experienced and passionate casual Hockey Umpires for inter-school sports programs in private schools across Melbourne.

Our inter-school games involve a wide range of Hockey proficiency, from Junior to Senior First teams.

Game times vary through the afternoon commencing at times such as 1.30pm or 2.30pm and are played Monday through to Saturday at a variety of locations including Altona Hockey Club, Essendon Hockey Club, Footscray Hockey Club, Cheltenham Hockey Club and more.

Umpires may choose the most appropriate locations and days that best suit them.

There is no fixed commitment to participate for the entire season, umpires can simply select dates that suit them. Umpires are paid per game and rates increase depending on experience, qualifications and the level of the match.

**To be considered for this role, applicants must**:

- Possess or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check
- Have a deep understanding of hockey
- Possess significant experience in playing, coaching or umpiring the sport

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Altona, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Umpiring: 1 year (preferred)
