**The opportunity**:
**Key duties**:
In this role you will be expected to:

- Assist in the preparation of research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops, and in the writing of project reports, articles and other documents.
- Perform critical analyses of literature relevant to research.
- Coordinate the conduct of experimental tests and plan the processing and analysis of research data obtained; and conduct or participate in staff conferences related to the progress of the project(s).
- Assist in the design and implementation of complex statistical techniques and data processing systems to code research data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Guidance in the research effort of junior members or research-only staff in their area.
- Involvement in professional activities including attendance at conferences and seminars in field of expertise.
- Administrative functions primarily connected within area of research.
- Maintenance of accurate and timely records and data entry for internal and external reporting.

**Skills and experience**:
You will have:

- A Doctor of Philosophy (or in progress) in exercise physiology, biomedical science or physiology or equivalent.
- Experience within a clinical research environment (Scientific, Health or Academic).
- Experience in research conduct, analysis and preparation of research output.
- Experience in cardiovascular imaging modalities and conducting exercise training studies (desirable).
- Outstanding track record with proven ability to publish manuscripts.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and foster the development of students.
- Cardiopulmonary exercise testing experience.
- Understanding of research areas related to exercise cardio-oncology, imaging technologies and cardiovascular diseases.
- Training with advanced statistical software packages e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Python.
