The Lake Macquarie Mental Health Service is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team that delivers excellent care to individuals and families experiencing acute mental illness or distress. The service is a welcoming team that promotes safety, inclusiveness and professional development and growth.

The Lake Macquarie Mental Health Service sits under the umbrella of the Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service, with various specialist teams providing great avenues for professional development and progression.
**About the role**:
The Senior Social Worker is a senior clinical position that will provide targeted advice, consultation and support to the broader multidisciplinary team. You will support and foster the Social Work team within the community setting and will also undertake a pro-rata complex clinical caseload.
You will be supported by the Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service Social Work Team Leader, the Management team and other senior clinical leaders with professional support provided by the Head of Social Work and Social Welfare. The service is committed to providing staff with opportunities for professional education and training.

- Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
