
Feed Coordinator

Closing date: 12/09/2024**The Position**
The Feed Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of steel feed (ingot and bloom) to our Rail Products manufacturing business. This includes the receival of shipments, management of stock on site, and delivery of stock to the feed preparation area, as well as the completion of all associated documentation. The Feed Coordinator will work with various internal and external groups and must effectively communicate and operate in this dynamic environment. Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach are key attributes required for this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Movement of Steel Stock: Oversee the receival and unloading of trucks, including all associated documentation.
- Stock Control: Track movements and storage locations of steel stock, ensuring proper documentation and system updates.
- Organisation of Storage Locations: Organise storage locations by grade, heat, etc.
- Stock Delivery: Ensure the timely and safe movement and delivery of stock according to schedule and quality sampling requirements, including operating forklifts and cranes.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team, manufacturing team, other departments, contractors, and third parties to coordinate deliveries to the site, maintaining proper documentation and systems.
- Safe Operation: Safely operate mobile equipment on site, including unloading vehicles and operating within loading zones and site rules.
- Training: Undertake training to become competent as a Saw Operator and perform other functions as required.

- Understanding of transport guidelines
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage stock in manufacturing environment
You must also have current and valid Australian working rights.
