**Your Impact**:
We are seeking an Ecologist (terrestrial) to join our experienced and expanding Adelaide Team in a flexible and friendly working environment.

In the role you will have the opportunity to grow your skills through involvement in delivering diverse, challenging and rewarding ecology projects for Government and industry sectors across South Australia. This includes baseline environmental and ecology studies including likelihood of occurrence for threatened species and communities and impact assessments to inform client project feasibility studies and assist clients with meeting their environmental legislative requirements. You will also have opportunity to engage and collaborate with Jacobs extensive ecologist network across Australia and partner with the broader Jacobs business to provide ecological expertise on major infrastructure, transport, resource and sustainability projects.

You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of ecology projects (both desktop and field based) including the preparation and management of data and report writing. You will also have a role in developing project opportunities including assisting in the development of proposals.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Degree in a relevant science discipline (ecology, environmental science, natural resource management)
- Experience in the delivery of ecology projects, preferably in South Australia (SA). Some experience in field survey and data collection
- Basic knowledge of the flora species of SA
- Knowledge of key environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks relevant to SA
- Willingness to undertake intra or interstate travel, including for the occasional extended trip (negotiable)
- Highly developed report writing skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Current drivers license
- 4WD training and experience, or willingness to complete training

- GIS skills and experience including use of ESRI ArcGIS Pro and Field Maps for data collection and analysis
- Bird / fauna survey and identification skills
- Experience in implementing SA vegetation survey methods (e.g. Bushland, Rangeland and Scattered Tree Assessment Methods, Department for Infrastructure and Transport Vegetation Survey Method)
- Working knowledge of new technologies in field survey and analysis
