About the role

We’re seeking a Workspace Engineering & Design Manager to lead and manage the Workspace Engineering & Design team, to be a high performing team that supports the current workspace technologies whilst pioneering emerging technologies.

You’ll join an innovative team, who are responsible for transforming highly mature services & platforms into potential cloud-based solutions.

As our Workspace Engineering & Design Manager, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:
- The architecture, design, build, deployment model of the Workspace Technology platforms- Drive a collaborative partnership with network, infrastructure, cyber security and external vendors- Provide regular leadership and coaching to all team members- Actively build a high performing team that is able to focus on current state, whilst driving innovation and emerging technologies- Bring product, solution, and technical leadership to your engagements, offering domain expertise and advice to business stakeholders- Accountability for project solutions including compliance to Transurban’s Architectural Governance framework- Drive the transformation of services and platforms into potential cloud-based solutions

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- At least 15 years of experience in IT with a minimum of 3 years playing a leadership role in service and operational environments supporting end user technologies-
- Proven track record in technical and resource planning, evaluating solutions to deliver products and projects within deadlines- Commercial acumen, ability to understand, develop and articulate the business value to be derived from technological advancement- Experience in short, medium and long-term planning, including development of strategy and roadmaps
