- **Your Opportunity**:
- The Royal Melbourne Hospital Department of Anaesthesia & Pain Management is recruiting for Anaesthetic Provisional Fellows (ATY3) to commence in February 2024. We offer general and specialty anaesthesia training programs, including:
- Cardiac/TOE: We are the second largest cardiothoracic service in Australia & can offer a tailored fellowship year in this area.
- Neuroanaesthesia: We undertake the largest amount of neuroanaesthesia in Australia & provide specialist fellowship training.
- Trauma: The hospital is a designated adult trauma service with a heli-pad & the department is an integral part of the trauma team, providing expertise in airway management, ventilation & resuscitation of the multi-trauma patient.
- Pain: We run an acute pain service with the Faculty of Pain Medicine accredited consultants & a chronic pain service with multidisciplinary clinics and interventional lists at our Royal Park Campus.
- MH/Allergy Testing: We provide the only malignant hyperthermia testing service in Melbourne with opportunities for those with an interest in genetic testing.
- Research Fellowship: The department is committed to the academic pursuits of clinical & laboratory research, with substantial ties to the University of Melbourne. A half research/half clinical fellowship is available.
- The department of Anaesthesia is accredited for training and receives accredited trainees from the North Western rotational anaesthetic training scheme.- We also have a strong focus on Quality Assurance/Improvement with multiple projects in development and ongoing. Our department is coordinating the development of our Perioperative Medical Unit and prospective provisional fellows would have the opportunity to be actively involved in this project.**Benefits**:
