**About the Role**

**Fixed Term - Full Time until 30/06/2025**

SDD-Trusted and Secure Program aims to enhance DTP’s cyber security posture to meet modern security threats and challenges, and to ensure compliance with departmental Audit and regulatory requirements by delivering various security programs/initiatives. The team comprises of project resource disciplines across Program/Project Management, Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, Test Management, Change Management and Audit Management.

The Trusted and Secure program aligns with the Department of Transport and Planning Strategic Plan and the Victorian Government Digital Strategy 2021-2026 (A Future-ready Victoria: Victorian Government Digital Strategy 2021-2026 (content.vic.gov.au).

The Audit and Security Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing the completion of actions arising from the annual audit program, ensuring timely closure of audits and coordinate/implement closure of security gaps identified. They will work closely with various teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful program outcomes and compliance with cybersecurity and Enterprise Technology standards and best

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- **Strategic Planning** - Ensured the seamless integration of overseeing the annual audit program, closure of agreed recommendations from audits, managing timelines, prioritising vulnerabilities, maintaining detailed records, and providing regular reporting to address identified security gaps effectively with the visionary work of developing an inspired vision and strategy for delivering enhanced business value.
- **Innovation** - Promoted operational efficiency and risk reduction by establishing and consistently implementing operational procedures and processes, while driving continuous improvement through innovative responses to complex problems, all while exercising professional independent judgment.
- **Continuous Improvement** - Drove continuous improvement by not only contributing to the successful implementation of reforms and change programs but also by developing, implementing, and tracking benefit realisation for the Trusted and Secure Program.
- **Policies and Framework** - Supported the establishment and maintenance of effective program governance mechanisms, aligning with organisational policies and industry best practices.
- **Stakeholder Management** - Collaborated with the program leadership team to address compliance gaps, foster a culture of continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices, and establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders while actively addressing their concerns.
- **Stakeholder Management** - Established and maintained strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, project teams, business units, and external partners, fostering effective networks and strong working relationships across DTP, while facilitating regular communication and reporting on benefit realisation progress, audit closure status, and program-related updates.
- **Partnering and Co-Creation** - Enhanced collaboration by liaising with vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of expected outcomes and benefits as per contractual agreements, while also working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders through education, influence, and negotiation to ensure program activities, timeframes, and quality standards are achieved.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Proven experience in audit closure activities in cybersecurity or IT programs and the establishment of operational procedures and processes.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., VPDSF, NIST, or ISO 27001).

**Desirable**
- Benefit realisation management
- ITIL
- Compliance programs/frameworks (VPDSF, ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential 8 etc.)
- Sound knowledge of, or practical experience working with security standards and models such as VPDSS.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, project management, or audit management (e.g., CISSP, PMP, CISA).
