The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.

**Duties**

The Transport Modeller is accountable to the Manager, Transport Insights and provides support for the delivery of strategic transport modelling across the state’s transport system.

This role assists the Senior Transport Modeller with the ongoing development, maintenance and operation of the transport planning tools and techniques including:

- Compiling and verifying input data
- Developing and testing scenarios
- Analysing and interpreting outputs of the models
- Reviewing transport models built within the Aimsun Next platform to determine the fitness of the model for the intended purpose and/or provide professional advice to enhance the models to be fit for purpose.
- Liaising with customers and other project stakeholders

**Requirements**:
A numerate degree or an equivalent tertiary qualification.

**Special Conditions**

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

PO2 - $85,665 to $94,801 per annum
