Based from our factory in Wangara, Mobi Nomad import a “rolling chassis” from South Africa to create the Mobi Nomad hybrid caravan range. Units arrive 2 per 40ft container as “bare bones” and the team them customise and build them with all required components including gas installations, electrical appliances, awnings, and internal components.

There are 3 Mobi Nomad models which are the Custom, Continental and Liberty (a wheelchair friendly version of the Continental). There is also the Camper Trailer version the Mobi X.

The team also undertake constant research and development to ensure that the Mobi Nomad Brand is established as the best off-road caravan in Australia whilst keeping to its heritage as a “hotel room on wheels”

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join the growing team to undertake a Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations (Bus, Truck, and Trailer).

This is an exciting full time opportunity where the successful applicant will get hands-on experience in a range of areas.

**Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to);**
- Installation of cassette and composting toilets, equipment such as Hot Water Systems, fridges, stoves, aircons.
- Manufacture of bracketry and install diesel heater
- Install, test and service mechanical and electrical brake systems
- Install a range of awnings including canvass tent, mechanical and roll-out
- Install Lithium systems including solar panels, batteries, battery managements systems, audio and video systems.
- Manufacture bike racks and external storage bins.
- Repair damaged fibreglass and manufacturing of fibreglass items.
- Repair paint damage and paint new items
- Clean of units ready for handover

**Desirable skills**:

- A driver’s licence and own transport preferred but not essential.
- Some experience of working with hand tools or a genuine interest in the automotive industry

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
