Picker and Packer

As a Picking / Packing worker you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of inventory within a warehouse setting. This role requires strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of proper inventory management practices. The Store worker will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager & or Team Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse and timely delivery of wholesale apparel orders.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Unload, sort, and store apparel items in designated locations within the warehouse, using proper handling techniques and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records, making note of any discrepancies and reporting them to the Warehouse Manager.
- Pick and pack wholesale apparel orders accurately and efficiently, following order details and ensuring proper packaging for shipment.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to fulfill order requests in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
- Assemble and label shipping containers and prepare necessary documentation, such as packing slips and shipping labels.
- Keep the warehouse organised and clean, ensuring proper storage and cleanliness of wholesale apparel items.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and transport inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to optimise warehouse layout and workflow, making suggestions for improvements when necessary.
- Comply with safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques, equipment usage, and hazardous materials handling, to maintain a safe work environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $23.36 - $35.56 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
