**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

In your new role, you will have a critical responsibility in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases across various environments within our IT landscape. Your role will involve managing the entire release lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition of software from development to production environments while upholding the integrity of each environment.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will work to streamline release processes, identify, and mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in the Service Management team's on-call roster for major incidents, ensuring timely response and resolution.

**About you**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in IT release management, environment management, or related IT disciplines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and release management best practices.
- Proficiency in release management tools, version control systems, and automation frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL practices. Agile and DevOps are a plus.
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to software releases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively, with a focus on driving process improvements and optimising release workflows.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement and maintain the reliability and resilience of our IT services.
- Excellence in customer service with the ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders and business units.
