We are currently seeking a **Accounts Officer **to join our small office team approximately 5-10 hours a week, bringing new skills and growing with the business. **Please note this role is not able to be worked remotely**.

**Duties**:

- Management and reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable & bank reconciliations, and credit cards.
- Collection of payment and follow-up with clients to ensure timely payments of outstanding invoice amounts
- Verification of data (employee, payroll, billing) in Xero on a weekly basis
- Maintain positive long term relationships with clients and nurses through assistance with client invoice and nurse pay inquiries
- Prepare quarterly BAS and review/prepare annual accounts for submission to external accountant
- Ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and other regulations
- Recording and assist in presenting key data

**Key Qualities**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication
- Proficiency with Xero
- Able to work independently & as part of the team
- Available **Tuesdays **at a minimum, and availability for short, remotely attended team meetings on Fridays

Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Please note, attention to detail and great organisational skills are vital for this position.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chippendale, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Xero: 2 years (preferred)
- Payroll: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
