**The Role**

The School of Humanities and Communication at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as the Head of School and Dean. This leadership role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of an esteemed institution renowned for its innovative teaching practices, cutting-edge communication technologies, and industry-accredited programs.

As the Head of School and Dean, you will work closely with a diverse team of academics and oversee the academic journey of approximately 1650 students. You will proactively collaborate with other Schools, and other stakeholders, internal and external to the University, to deliver on our mission to transform lives within our community through education.

**The Applicant**

You will have a proven track record of driving innovation, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and nurturing a vibrant academic community. Additionally, you will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to foster partnerships with external stakeholders and build recognition for the school and its research and teaching.

**Term**: Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 5 years with an underlying, full-time continuing teaching and research position at Academic Level D/E.

**Location**:Toowoomba Campus, with regular travel required to other UniSQ campuses.
