Fleet Controller

Looking for a Fleet Allocator to join our team in Altona.

**Position details**:
The Fleet Controller will play an integral part in the Heavy Haulage & Construction team and will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of the fleet and drivers. You will drive efficiencies in the utilisation of company trailing equipment and ensure compliance requirements are met.

This is a permanent full-time position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordination of all loading/unloading of company and subcontractor vehicles in an efficient manner.
- Scheduling and positioning of company trailing equipment.
- Customer bookings and service support.
- Ensure effective communication across drivers and customers.
- Review, sign off and data entry of driver run sheets.
- Review and manage vehicle documentation and management of the service requirements for vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain a safe working environment in line with road compliance laws, workplace legislation, and company safety policies.
- Miscellaneous on-site tasks as directed.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in allocating and scheduling construction/heavy haulage equipment is preferred.
- Strong commitment to Safety and demonstrated positive safety leadership.
- Intermediate computer and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment.
- Comprehensive fleet allocation and load planning skills.
- Professional manner in dealing with customers.
- A good work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willing to be flexible with varying start times.
