**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Planning & Environment Advisor to join our Asset Strategy team based in Perth on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the primary responsibilities of the role are to manage the environmental, tenure and statutory approval requirements for new projects.

To be successful in this role, you must also understand the interaction between technical requirements and design elements of project infrastructure and stakeholder and regulatory requirements for a project.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Support the business development team during ideation, pre-feasibility, and feasibility study phases for prospective development projects
- Oversee the development and design of innovative land access, statutory approval, and impact mitigation strategies
- Conduct assessments, prepare reports and provide advice on sound environmental management practices
- Lead negotiations for agreements with Traditional Owner groups to manage Native Title and Indigenous Heritage aspects of development projects
- Lead negotiations with landowners, customers including mining companies, utilities, state government departments and other land stakeholders

**To be successful you will have**:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline i.e., Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction or Sustainability in conjunction with extensive experience in a similar role (mining, construction or with energy projects)
- Project development or project management experience on infrastructure projects from $10m to $100m+
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with capacity to influence and negotiate
- Demonstrated ability to manage and direct multiple workstreams, consultants or contractors
- Experience in Indigenous relationships, Indigenous engagement, and heritage management
