**Permanent Full Time position**

**Salary**: $109,055 to $121,609 per annum, plus superannuation and a 9-day fortnight.
- Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience._

A leaseback vehicle will also be offered.

**About Us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the role**

To be part of, and contribute to, a team focused on providing strategic town planning advice to Council to determine the manner in which land is used to enhance the social, economic, environmental and recreational well being of the community.

The position services Council’s constituent and external customers of Council and provides management support to the Strategic Planning Manager.

**About you**

As a valued senior member of the team, you will be involved in exciting strategic planning projects within the Hornsby local government area.

Applicants should have completed a Town Planning Degree and have sound experience in;
- Land use planning,
- Project management,
- Environmental planning, and
- Local Government legislation

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must.
