Quantity Surveyor

As the QS you will be involved in the entire process both pre and post contract, from tender management and preparing estimates, post contract work including all costs on projects, certify sub-contractor work, identifying variation work, agreeing contractor accounts. You will report to the Director & Construction Manager & Development manager.
In this role, you will be also responsible for providing great service to our clients, managing the requests and works in each of the sites and liaising with a small team of staff and subcontractors to resolve the issues.
We are looking for someone with QS expertise, coupled with an interest and enthusiasm for project delivery and client engagement.
This is a position for a well organised individual that can work autonomously. You will need to be well presented, a very professional communicator who brings high expectations of customer service.
There are two main elements to this position which are outlined below:
1. Quantity Surveying for operations
a. Tender management and tender submissions
b. Cost planning and cost tracking
c. Sub-contractor sourcing, qualifying and negotiations across all locations
d. Verification of contractor invoicing
2. Project lead for all clients
a. Direct liaison with clients including project managers and staff
b. Coordination of small works
c. Primary contact for facilities related issues and sub-contractors
d. Complete necessary reporting and documentation in an accurate and timely manner
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 5+ years of QS experience either with a main contractor with a strong understanding of tendering and contract administration and accounts and an analytical approach.
- Strong database of local trades and contractors
- Experience in delivering excellent customer service (experience with premium clients is an advantage)
- Ability to effectively handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and setting priorities
- Practical approach to identifying and solving problems
- Strong sense of initiative and proactive approach
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and can manage and guide staff.
