**College Principal**

**Position Summary**

As the Principal of the College your Purpose will be to:
Ensure the College’s continued development as a leading Adult and Community provider

Provide educational and organisational leadership to the College.

Provide executive support to the College Council to ensure the College operates in a strategic, legal, ethical, profitable, efficient and effective way.

Provide managerial support to the staff to facilitate their success in identifying community needs, delivering quality programs and creating customer satisfaction.

**Who Are We**:
Nepean Community College is a not for profit, community-based adult and community education provider.

We are based in Penrith providing programs primarily to the Penrith and Blue Mountains Local Government Areas.

Established in 1988, Nepean Community College is one of the first community colleges in NSW and has a thirty five year history of innovation in the Adult and Community Education sector and strong relationships across community and government.

It has been a Registered Training Organisation since 1994. (RTO ID 1223)

We offer a wide range of community development programs, vocational training, general interest community courses and publish a quarterly program of courses for the community alongside bespoke programs as the need arises.

Our mission is to provide high quality, personalised and hands-on learning opportunities that will empower individuals, businesses, and communities.

The College is embarking on a new phase of outreach and community development with new opportunities in service delivery and partnerships through a variety of program development methodologies.

**The Role**

The Principal is the key position in the College’s strategic development, leveraging its networks, program development capability and a history of social capital formation and social inclusion to contribute to the growth of Life Long Learning Communities.

The functions and activities in the role will span:
Providing educational and organisational leadership for the College.

Maintaining the College’s development as a leading Adult and Community provider.

Ensuring the growth of the College’s delivery of quality programs in the community.

Development of a strategic long term plan for the College.

Facilitation of the production of College’s Business Plans.

Establishing and maintaining the College’s internal management systems to ensure its overall compliance.

Preparation of a financial reporting framework and the analysis and reporting of the College finances.

**Essential Requirements**

Demonstrated experience in leadership and management in education.

Ability to foster and manage collaborative relationships.

Experience in the control and management of organisational finances.

Demonstrated experience in working with board of directors governance.

Demonstrated adaptability, responsiveness and ability to foster innovation.

Ability to foster and manage collaborative relationships.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a capacity to share a vision for Life Long Learning.

Meeting the ASQA and ACNC Fit and Proper Person requirements; Working With Children Check;
Driver License and a currently insured vehicle.

**Desired Requirements**

Qualifications in Adult Education

Knowledge of the vocational education and training sector.

Experience in leading in the not for profit sector.

**Salary**: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

- Australia (required)
