**What you'll be doing**:
Our fantastic Adult Acute Mental Health Unit are seeking a Hospital Assistant to join on a Temporary Full Time basis. Hospital Assistants clean all parts of the Nepean Mental Health Centre and other sites, including patient, public and office areas. Other tasks may include waste collection and moving of patient equipment, beds, furniture, and linen delivery to the unit. Day-to-day you will be maintaining high standards of cleanliness consistent with Departmental of Health Cleaning and Infection Control Guidelines and operating industrial equipment and chemicals in accordance with Safe Work Practices. Additionally, you will report any safety hazards/incidents and near misses to Supervisor and wear and maintain uniform in accordance with the Uniform Policy. This is a shift work position and may include any shift over 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, unless the contract of employment has other conditions.

**Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.**

- Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks in a hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Fluency in communication skills both oral and written in the English language
- Ability to work effectively, both within a team and autonomously
- Ability to work all shifts within a 24/7 rotating roster
- Knowledge of an understanding of the Infection Control Policy
- Willingness to protect the health and safety of self and others at work, under the Work Health and Safety Act
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
