**The organisation**

Davidson are exclusively representing an Australian client who specialise in engineering design and manufacturing of climate and noise control solutions. A family-owned business, they have a culture of respect and recognition and have stayed true to their Queensland roots. As project pipelines increase, they have created an additional headcount for a Mechanical Drafter. This role will report directly into the Managing Director, who will mentor you whilst respecting your level of skill. The business is incredibly stable with tenure averaging 15 years.

**The role**

As Mechanical Drafter, you will support the highly skilled team of Mechanical Engineers, making a tangible impact to the day-to-day operation.
You will:

- Prepare detailed models from concept to manufacture.
- Produce 2D/3D manufacturing drawings.
- Attend onsite inspections to scope and assess in preparation for the development of detailed designs and drawings.
- Source and coordinate relevant documents from suppliers.
- Ensure cohesive work with stakeholders.

**The successful person**

To be successful in the role, you will have a demonstrated understanding of the drafting and design process with mechanical equipment.
You will also:

- Hold a relevant qualification (Diploma and above).
- Experience with AutoCad and Inventor.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- A true drive to execute work to the highest quality.
- A commitment to further development.
- A valid and open driving licence with the ability to travel to site.
