Who are we? Code Camp is Australia’s leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider We’ve taught over 90,000 kids in the past 8 years, and employ 1000 casual staff to help us. Our staff work hard and love the collaborative effort of creating unique and engaging learning experiences for kids. We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our after-school classes within Port Adelaide on various days for Term 2.
**Are you?**
- Bright, bubbly and great at communicating with young kids (K-2)
- Keen to learn about new technology and passionate about mentoring kids, building their knowledge and confidence
- Able to engage with kids, motivate and manage them within a classroom environment
- Trustworthy, Independent, punctual and reliable
- Available during after-school hours on various days for Term 2 (note there are other locations in your locality with classes running on other days if also interested)
- Willing to travel to class location (on school grounds) within Port Adelaide
**Required Skills**:
Whilst we don’t require a specific degree or experience, interest in technology and experience with kids is a must, and you should have some of the following experience (or similar):
- Experience or enjoy working with young kids and have a vibrant and enthusiastic can-do attitude
- Mature outlook, common sense and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside and outside the classroom
- Ability to take initiative and facilitate unsupervised activities to meet the needs and interests of young children aged 5 - 7 years old
- Fluent conversational English
- WWCC or willingness to obtain it immediately
- First aid certificate is desirable
**About the position**:
- Deliver our lesson plan to a class of 12-20 students (alongside a second teacher if a larger class)
- Responsible for keeping the class on track
- Engaging with the students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom
- Ensuring the classroom is a fun environment for the students
- Keeping in contact with Head Office if you have any questions or concerns
- Attend staff training online
