**THE ROLE**

**Our Asset Commercial Team is responsible for providing accurate, timely and transparent operational and financial data to create reporting and insights into opportunities for improved performance in the operated assets. This role partners with the business to provide insights on spend, assist management in decision making and embed best practice cost management. The role is also is a key contact for the asset in developing, monitoring and reporting on actual spend, forecast and budget.**

- Complete variance analysis and commentary on actual spend and develop and monitor the operational budget and forecasts
- Develop work breakdown structures and project cost estimates aligned to program schedule, identify R&O to program, supporting work program prioritisation
- Develop tools and reports to enable Budget Owners to link activities to costs, and track against budget assumptions
- Drive continuous improvement through maintenance cost management, linking contract scope to maintenance schedule, ensuring accurate cost allocation
- Review, develop and submit monthly accruals, including reconciliation to PO commitments and identified corrective actions
- Have a strong understanding of the open Purchase Orders and costs codes in order to provide advice and training on the correct use of cost codes

**ABOUT YOU**

**To succeed in this role you’ll be self-motivated, with the ability to build strong internal relationships, who can work effectively in an environment that is fast paced and with a high level of personal accountability.**

**More about you**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant degree from an accredited university
- Experienced Excel user, cost modelling experience desired
- Experience in a large project-based system such as SAP and ideally experience with Prism G2 and/or Primavera P6
- Demonstrated technical competence in cost tracking and reporting
- Ability to interpret cost and schedule data for forecasting purposes
- Project controls management experience across the project lifecycle
- Experience in operated cost control in the manufacturing or resource industry
- Experience on large-scale oil and gas and/or petrochemical capital projects
