**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Plant Manager for the Fresh site, this role is responsible for meeting and improving the department production, people and quality goals, as well as playing a key role in meeting the companywide profitability and customer satisfaction expectations.
- Coordination and Planning of activities (process, engineering and sanitation) and resources (people and ingredients).
- Assure attainment of ARYZTA objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of Manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Responsible for the sanitation, maintenance and new product manufacturing through effective coordination of the services provided to Fresh by Sanitation, Engineering and Product Development.
- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports, monitors and controls the proper formulation and production techniques of all products produced within Fresh Operations.
- Organize workflow accordingly to complete assigned production schedules.
- Work closely with Q.A. to achieve quality objectives.
- Coordinate, update and develop (where required) standard operating procedures for all Fresh operations.
- Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production volume.
- Confers frequently with Plant Manager on any proposed changes in operational policies.
- Communicates all significant actions and problems to company management.
- Encourages and maintains adequate communication in all areas and between all levels within the plant.
- Provides management reports and information as required by company management on a timely and accurate basis.
- Provides accurate and timely physical inventories and other period-end data as required.
- Provides meaningful and accurate data for preparation of capital and operating budgets.
- Acts on behalf of Plant Manager in their absence and supports them in planning, directing and coordinating the environmental health, food safety, quality and legal compliance as well as people safety programs and initiatives
- Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practice.
- Responsible for production efficiencies and rates and ensure process flow is set up to achieve targets, including set-up & organization of manufacturing equipment

**About you**
- A thorough and detailed understanding of Bakery operations and food manufacturing requirements.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales, multiple projects and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking and planning abilities together with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
