This is an exciting opportunity to really make a difference and contribute to the elimination of HIV and STIs in NSW. Overall the role coordinates and provides leadership and drives the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of state-wide strategies for sexually transmitted infections and HIV.

**About this role**
This role is responsible for leading HIV and STI related activities across NSW.
The Manager will ensure a coordinated approach to the HIV and STI policy and program area. This role leads the team and will coordinate and manage outputs and increase the team’s capability and capacity to ensure high levels of performance, and drive implementation. The manager will have experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior researchers, clinicians and community.

Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $134,411 - $155,445 plus Super and annual leave loading

**What you'll be doing**
- Lead and manage a team, including coordinating and managing workflow, developing team capacity and culture, and ensuring high levels of performance.
- Manage the performance of services and funded programs, through an appropriate performance framework which includes data, analysis and reporting systems.
- Guide the integration/ recognition of Prevention approach and work in relevant clinical areas
- Manage resource allocation, including through CPH budget processes, funding review and re-direction to meet strategy objectives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders including public sector and non-government agencies, researchers, clinicians and professional and peer associations to facilitate collaboration and information flow
- Contribute to broader management processes of the CPH, through planning, budget processes, cooperation and maintenance of effective work arrangements for shared staffing positions.

**Key challenges**
- Operating in a high-pressured environment of short timeframes and competing priorities
- Ensuring that the NSW response in relation to BBV and STIs remains agile and responsive to emerging evidence, including driving practice change across NSW Health and partner organisations.
- Managing views and interests of stakeholder groups across a wide range of issues including a consideration of regulatory aspects, balancing individual, community, clinical and sector interests while dealing with sensitive issues such as injecting drug use and sexual practice.
