The Office of the CEO Directorate is responsible for developing the City of Stirling’s strategic objectives and long-term vision to shape the future of the City.

The Directorate acts as the link between the Council and the community to establish the City’s priorities that are aligned with our commitment to community connectedness and sustainability.

The Directorate also includes coordinating the delivery of civic hospitality events and functions.

**About the Position**

As a Waitperson, you will work closely with the Civic Functions Supervisor to ensure that all Elected Members, internal and external stakeholders at the City receive an exceptional experience when attending a function or event.

The position will be required to work daytime hours but may include evenings and weekends from time to time.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key role responsibilities include:

- Set up function rooms, and pack down of equipment, furniture and catering services.
- Restock and rotate beverages.
- Deliver catering to the City’s external facilities.
- Greet customers and assist Elected Members.
- Serve food and beverages.
- Drinks Service (Responsible Service of Alcohol Required)
- Assist with in house AV needs (laptop connections, projectors, microphones and troubleshooting any technical issues
- Clear tables and maintain a clean workspace
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Wait tables
- Provide assistance to the Function Supervisor
- Assist with some administration duties

Other duties as required.

**About You**
- Experience in large scale functions and events.
- A can-do attitude with high-level customer service skills.
- C - Class Drivers Licence essential.
- Understand specific dietary requirements.
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
- Hold a responsible service of alcohol certification.
- Proactive team player.
- Ability to set up and pack down functions as required

You will need to be available from Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 3.00pm. A National Police Clearance is required for all positions and Waitperson’s will require a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

This casual position is the Catering Agreed Rate - Inside Workforce Agreement which attract an hourly rate of $25.72 plus casual loading, plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
