We’re inventing the future, right here, right now, at Thales. We design the critical security solutions of tomorrow by combining the curiosity to explore, the intelligence to question and the vision to create. Together we solve complicated problems by combining our experience in the market with our leading research and development capabilities.

**What can you expect?**

As a sheet metal worker, you will work as part of a team that are responsible for the majority of the interior finish work on naval vessels. You will help make shipboard bunks, lockers, stowage bins, furniture and hand rails to name a few things.

Here are some of the key skills you will learn:

- Performing basic welding (MIG, TIG and Stick)
- The safe and proper use of battery, electric and air power tools
- The interpretation of quality documents, drawing, work instructions and references.

**How about you?**

Thales people are a diverse group of game changers reimagining the world. We focus mostly on a great attitude and willingness to learn, but most importantly you will also:

- Have completed year 10 studies at a minimum
- Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
- Be able to complete maths problems and put this to use in the workplace
- Adult apprentices are also welcome to apply

**And now the fine print**

Wellbeing matters at Thales, and where possible we encourage flexible working.
