WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Thrift Shops of the Ingle Farm Corps seek to serve the community with low priced second hand goods while providing the Corps with a regular income.

The Coordinating Thrift Shop Manager will provide general oversight of the 3 corps Thrift Shops (Pooraka, Para Hills and Mawson Lakes) and in consultation with the Corps Officer.

THE ROLE YOU COULD PLAY
- A plan is developed and implemented to improve the profitability of the Thrift Shops including through increased sales and donations
- Ideas to grow and market the Thrift Shops are identified and implemented
- Distribution of goods between all shops is coordinated to maximize sales
- Develop and maintain coordinated operations between all shops in the network
- A culture of respect and team work is encouraged in all Thrift Shops
- Develop operational relationships between staff of all shops
- Provide leadership to the staffing group that is supportive and encourages them to achieve their full potential.
- Build and maintain good relationships with the staffing group
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, training and induction of new staff as required and ensure all volunteers are recorded in Workday.
- Ensure all staff are trained in their respective roles & identify potential leadership among staff
- Ensure rosters are organized for staff/volunteers to cover shop hours

This is a full time permanent position.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Experience in team management is essential
- Retail management experience is required
- Basic working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Certificate in Retail Operations / Diploma of Business is desirable
- Experience working with volunteers preferred
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
