**About the role**

The Event Supervisor is responsible for all front of house operations for the functions and events that they are rostered for. This role is primarily responsible for delivering a high-quality service that ensures the function client receives what has been promised and attendees are impressed with client events. The Event Supervisor is the first point of contact for all function greetings/welcomes, room setup, delivery of scheduled F&B and resolving all client issues. The Event Supervisor will have the skills to run their event ranging from several smaller corporate events to large concerts and catered events that require the leadership of multiple staff. The Supervisor will work closely with Banquet Manager & Banquet Chef to ensure the client receives a seamless experience.

**Based on experience salary range between $65K-$70K.**

**Key Responsibility Duties**- Lead, mentor and train the Food and Beverage team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment.
- Assist and ensure that the setup of the function room is under Banquet Event Order.
- Ensure that all pre-requisitions functions are checked correctly and ready for setting up when the time arrives.
- Co-ordinate closely with Chef and have a clear understanding on the menu offered for the event.
- Respond to any demands or complaints from guests with tact, sincerity and promptly.
- To keep Banquet Manager informed of incidents during or after the function.
- Ensure that team members are briefed thoroughly before each event and understand the BEO and Banquet BAR operations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts in a rotating roster and have a “can do” attitude.

**Role Selection Criteria**
- Experience in Banquet operations in a 4-to-5-star hotel or similar environment will be highly advantageous
- Experience in set-up for all functions and client meetings as per the clients’ specifications
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
- Experience in function and bar service with a desire for fantastic customer delivery
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, take direction and work efficiently to strict deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Possess a sound level of written and oral communications skills and attention to detail
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Manage staff effectively, efficiently and conducting difficult conversations
- Commitment to providing a quality customer service to clients
- Experience in proactively dealing with customer complaints
- Current NSW provisional or above driver’s licence
- Ability to work across multiple sites
