**About the Role**
As an Aboriginal Cultural Liaison Coordinator, you will play a vital role within Student Support Services, ensuring that Aboriginal students are at the center of our flexible service delivery approaches. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to engage with local Aboriginal community members and promote culturally responsive service provision. By building the cultural capability of the flexible services response team, you will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment where children can flourish.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and advice to design and deliver services with a focus on Aboriginal student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
- Develop relationships and processes to effectively engage with local Aboriginal community members in regional areas, ensuring cultural considerations are embedded in service packages.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance their cultural responsiveness.
- Contribute high-level advice to ensure cultural responsiveness in operational management, including recruitment, induction, and professional development coordination.
- Identify training requirements for external providers and staff involved in tele practice and strengthen individual models of service delivery.

**Requirements**:
Essential: Relevant experience in development of Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Desirable: Cert IV or higher education qualification in education, human or community services, or equivalent experience. Leadership and management training

**Special Conditions**
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
