**About the role**

We are seeking an exceptional, proactive, and versatile TPB-registered accountant to oversee a portfolio of clients across Australia and lead a team of accountants. In this role, you will spearhead the delivery of services requiring Tax or BAS agent registration, including BAS submissions, STP, and annual company tax returns.

Our aim is to fortify our accounting and tax functions to match the calibre of our legal and compliance offerings. We seek an individual eager to join our team and drive the growth of these vital functions.

**Responsibilities**
- Uphold Lawpath's tax services in Australia, including establishing internal processes
- Provide accounting and tax agent services to a diverse portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients
- Act as a liaison with the ATO on behalf of clients
- Prepare and submit BAS returns
- Prepare and submit tax returns for various entities
- Supervise and manage remote bookkeeping clients effectively
- Offer advice and engagement on a range of accounting and taxation matters to clients
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a team of like-minded accountants

**To be successful, you will need**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with TPB Tax agent registration
- Experience as a practising accountant and tax practitioner for sole traders and private companies
- Exceptional client servicing and communication skills
- A high level of professionalism, serving as an exemplary representative of our organisation
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
