IT Trainer

**About the role**:
We are currently seeking trainers for a casual position to provide basic coding knowledge to our students, aged 7-15. As a trainer, you'll conduct online classes using the Google Meet platform from the comfort of your own home. The classes are typically scheduled in the afternoons and Saturday mornings, depending on your availability. Each class lasts for 1.5 hours with a 15-minute break and accommodates a maximum of 10 students. Additionally, there may be opportunities to participate in stationary events such as coding workshops for local communities and organisations. We'll provide you with training, scenarios, and materials for each class.

**Skills and experience**:
To be considered for this role, we require the following skills and experience:

- Diploma of IT or other relevant course (completed or in progress) and/or relevant education;
- Excellent communication skills in English;
- Passion for STEM and education - you need to be prepared to guide and support young students in the digital learning environment by answering their questions and providing assistance when needed;
- Knowledge of Python & C#, as well as familiarity with games such as Minecraft, Scratch, and Roblox, as you'll be training students using these platforms;
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (we will assist you with the process);
- If you have already some experience with working with children (even as a volunteer), that would be great

**Salary**: $32.11 - $40.00 per hour
