We are looking for enthusiastic people to join us as a Drill** and Blast Scheduler** to coordinate in field blast monitoring, standard drill and blast designs and supporting performance using drones to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the drill and blast plan. This is a development opportunity, and we’ll provide full training and support to help you succeed and thrive in this role.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including drill and blast data entry and stock management, standard CLUPs, daily drill and blast plans, drill and blast analysis using a suite of software and drone footage.

**What you’ll bring**

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years open pit blasting experience, coupled with a strong work ethic with willingness to learn. Sound communication and computer skills, strong forward-thinking mindset, and analytical skills.

Located 100km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 1 offers an 8/6 roster and is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 4.
